Family Managers: Ernie Chapman and Nancy Crayton


Joseph was  b. 25 Dec 1745 in Halifax County, VA, (Halifax County was not formed until 1752 out of Lunenburg Co).  He was a Revolutionary War veteran from NC and had service against the Cherokee, d. 18 Jan 1836 in Turkey Creek, Pickens County, SC.

He married Mary Clark, 1770 in VA,   b. 1755 in Halifax, Halifax Co, VA,  d. 1835 in Pickens, Pickens County, SC.  

Autosomal DNA and Y-DNA of descendants match that of descendants of Enoch Chapman (b. 1752) and John Chapman (b. 1750) suggesting they are of the same family.
