Thomas Chapman

My mother is Nancy Lee Chapman b 1931. I am searching for information on her grandparents and earlier. All I know right now is Thomas Chapman B 1875 D 1952, Troy, Madison County, IL and Nancy (Scott) Chapman B1881- D1916 are the grandparents. I believe Thomas emigrated from England. Chapman is such a common name and I have been having difficulty so I was wondering if this fits any of your documented branches?
